More than 20 people have been taken to hospital - including a woman in intensive care - after a school bus "gave way" on a grass verge and rolled down an embankment.

Dozens of children had to be treated by ambulance crews after the crash on Holme Lacy Road in Hereford shortly after 8.20am.

Military helicopter on surveillance crashes in Adamawa state

A Nigerian military helicopter on surveillance mission has crashed in Damariea in Girei Local Government Area of the state. Residents of the area said the helicopter crashed close to the temporary camp of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, which is now being used as a camp for Internally Displaced people in the state. A Nigerian Airforce helicopter has crash-landed in Damare town in Adamawa state.

A military source told SaharaReporters that the crashed chopper was carrying military hardware and some military advisers to the frontline in Adamawa state when it crash-landed in Damare.
