You know I said earlier that sometimes when these publicists send you some of these things, you don't know which ones are true and which ones are just publicity stunts. Apparently this OmoAkin's story is a stunt...that has backfired because the owner of the resort is now threatening to sue him.

According to a story released last night by music star OmoAkin's management, they claimed he was attacked by some animals at Owu Resort and is receiving treatment at the Peninsula Hospital (read here)

Numerous feared dead after Bomb explosion in Yobe today

Many were killed today November 3rd after a suicide bomber detonated a bomb targeted at members of the Shiite group, the Islamic Brotherhood of Nigeria, who were on procession at Faydia Islamic School located near the old market in Pokiskum, Yobe state. Reports say the Muslim faithfuls were celebrating Ashura day, which is the new month of the Islamic Calendar, when the bomb went off. The bomber was among the worshipers when the bomb went off.

Army arrest 5 military commanders for abandoning Mubi to Boko Haram

Five or six military commanders have been arrested and detained by the army after they abandoned, withdrew from Mubi, Mararaba, Michika, Madagali, and Vimtim communities when Boko Haram men attacked the areas last week, allowing the insurgents to take over some areas.

Some soldiers were also detained. According to Sahara Reporters, the military commanders are being detained at the military police guard room at the 23 Brigade HQ, in Yola, Adamawa state. (pic above, fleeing Nigerian soldiers spotted in Song, Adamawa state)
